California and is 10 miles from the center of Orange. Another major airport is Long Beach
Airport, which has domestic flights from Long Beach and is 22 miles from Orange. There are
several hospitals in Orange, including Chapman Medical Center, UC Irvine Medical Center and
St. Joseph Hospital. There are many colleges in and around Orange, but the largest of them is
the California State University Fullerton 7 miles away, with 25,436 full time enrolled students.
Chapman University is the local university with 5,621 full time enrolled students.
Orange has many attractions and is unique among the region and the state in that it
has the second largest concentration of historic buildings. Many of these can be found at the
Plaza and Old Towne historical district, where one can find outdoor dining, specialty shops and
antique dealers. Other attractions include Peter’s Canyon regional park, Orange County Zoo,
Santiago Oaks Regional Park and Nature Center, Irvine Lake, and the Stadium Promenade, for
movies and fine dining.
All of these features make the City of Orange a great city to rent multifamily rental
