many colleges and universities, the closest and biggest of them are Santa Monica College 

with 11,468 full time enrolled students (2.5 miles), and the University of California Los Angeles 

(UCLA) which has over 37,000 full time enrolled students (7 miles) 

Venice Beach has many attractions, but it is best known for known for its canals, 

beaches and circus-like Ocean Front Walk, a two-and-a-half-mile pedestrian-only promenade 

that features performers, fortune-tellers, artists, vendors, Muscle Beach, the handball courts, the 

paddle tennis courts, Skate Dancing plaza, numerous beach volleyball courts, a bike trail and 

businesses. The basketball courts in Venice are renowned across the country for their high level 

of streetball; numerous professional basketball players developed their games or have been 

recruited on these courts.

All of these features make Venice Beach a great city to rent multifamily rental properties 

such as duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes and larger commercial apartment buildings. This vibrant, 

diverse community has great attractions, a healthy work industry, and many renters. The 

desirability to live here make it an ideal location for multifamily living and the city does have
