Another major airport is Long Beach Airport (LGB), which has domestic flights from Long Beach and is 25 miles from Alhambra. Alhambra’s hospital is the Alhambra Hospital Medical Center. There are also colleges and universities in and around Alhambra, the closest and biggest being the University of Southern California with 30,578 full time enrolled students 2 miles away.


Alhambra has many attractions, the most famous of which is downtown Alhambra at the intersection of Main & Garfield, which offers plenty of shopping with numerous boutiques and a farmers market on Sundays. Asian markets and shops also line Valley Boulevard. The Hat, a local icon, was the original, family-owned outdoor restaurant, that is now a well-known small Southern California chain. Other attractions include the Garfield Theatre, Gateway Plaza Monument, Pasadena Model Railroad, and the Renaissance Plaza.


All of these features make Alhambra a great place to buy or sell multifamily investment rental properties such as duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes and larger commercial apartment buildings.
