There are many colleges around Brea, but the largest of them is the California State University Fullerton, with 25,436 full time enrolled students. Fullerton College, Mt San Antonio College, and California State Polytechnic University Pomona are also nearby.

Brea has many attractions, including its extensive public art program which began in 1975 and continues today with over 140 artworks in the collection located throughout the city. Music, movies and comedy animate Brea’s nightlife.

Brea downtown is home to 22 movie screens, the Improv comedy club, and a lively mix of special events, annual Jazz Festival, and seasonal holiday activities. Other notable attractions are the Curtis Theatre and the Brea Art Gallery. Visitors can take a walk back in time and experience Brea’s rich history by touring the Brea Museum and Heritage Center and the Olinda Oil Museum and Trail.
