This airport has international and domestic flights from Ontario and is 9 miles from the center of Pomona. Pomona’s local hospital is the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. There are also many colleges and universities in and around Pomona, the biggest being the California State Polytechnic University Pomona with 17,476 full time enrolled students.


Pomona has many attractions, including the Fairplex, which hosts the L.A. County Fair and the NHRA Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, Powerade Winternationals Drag Racing competition. The city also hosts the Pomona Swap Meet and the Classic Car Show. Other notable attractions include The Glass House, Pomona Fox Theatre, and the Phillips Mansion.
